Britney Spears will be honored with Billboard Music’s Millennium Award

She’s only the third artiste in the history of Billboard to be honored with such award.
The Billboard Music Awards will give the night’s biggest honour to the Princess of Pop.

Britney Spears has been named as the next Millennium Award recipient, reports USATODAY.

The prestigious title isn’t given every year, and has only gone to two artists previously – the first to Beyoncé in 2011, followed by the late Whitney Houston in 2012.
Britney will also be performing a medley of her hits at the ceremony.
Since debuting her first album …Baby One More Time in 1999, Spears has had six number one albums on the Billboard 200 chart, and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

Her previous Billboard Music Awards include New Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.
Hosted by Ludacris and Ciara, the 2016 Billboard Music Awards air on May 22 on ABC at 8pm ET.

Congrats to her for this legacy, many more still to come.
